Plantar Fasciitis & Swollen Ankles

We don’t realise how much tension we hold in our feet. They support us, keep us moving, even when we don’t want to while sometimes contained in ill fitting foot wear.

This, inevitably has a knock on effect on the health and wellbeing of our feet, ankles and the rest of our body.

Thats because our body is connected by a network of fascia.

When we experience stress, fear or the feeling of “holding it all together” our feet tense and symptoms may appear such as

🍃 Tight calves
🍃 Plantar Fasciitis
🍃 Anxiety & Overwhelm

During the recent heatwave, women have been feeling more puffy, aching legs and swollen ankles.

This can be down to a slower lymphatic system. Its so important to keep moving to maintain a healthy lymph, however not so easy when your ankles are in discomfort from pain and swelling.

I’ve recently been supporting more and more women dealing with plantar fasciitis, fluid retention, and swollen feet/ankles—all of which can be made worse by hormonal changes, circulation issues, and the warmer weather.

By opening out the fascia, releasing any tension and massaging the ankles, its the calming relief my clients have needed to bring stability and mobility back to their lives without pain and discomfort.

🍃Using Reflexology in Eastbourne, lymphatic drainage techniques, and calming wellbeing support, I’ve seen gradual improvements in both comfort and mobility for my clients.

“I suffered from Plantar Fasciitis in one foot for over a year. Some days the pain was extreme and nothing seemed to relieve it.

That is until I had a couple of sessions with Jane Long!

After two gentle Reflexology sessions the Plantar Fasciitis completely disappeared and has not come back!

Thank you Jane!”

Christine - Eastbourne

“I contacted Jane having suffered for a while with swollen legs and ankles from perimenopause. Jane suggested Reflexology and said she would concentrate on helping the areas mentioned.

Although the swelling has not gone completely, with each session it gets better and better and I am extremely pleased that I have found a professional that 1) is willing to listen to me and 2) knows something that has helped.

Thank you Jane.”
