Coerced Into Christmas

I've lost the battle again!

This year it's only between me and my daughter.

My son has lost interest in the festive season.....apart from the presents of course!

The Christmas Tree is going up too early for my liking!

The last day of November is the earliest I've ever put it up.

I usually wait until the second weekend of December.

It gives me time to clean and tidy up the house and make space for the
incoming tree.

Now I've found that my family are laughing at the fact I am cleaning for the arrival of the tree!

"You're cleaning for the tree Mum!"  is what I've been hearing.

But I'm not cleaning for the tree am I?

I am preparing and clearing for the winter months.

I've cleaned the floors, pulled out all the furniture, created a pile of objects that will end up at the charity shop.

Cleaned cupboards inside and out.

All in preparation and using the energy I have now, on the house,
on this bright day, so I can prepare to settle in the winter months.

Winter is a time of stillness and looking within.  We have to take care of our energy.
I believe the winter is the worst time to start a new diet or health regime.
Look to the Spring months for the new burst of energy before deciding to make changes to your lifestyle and routine.

Prepare to use the winter months to nurture yourself and pay attention to what you need at the pace you need it.

So back to the tree!

I am at work all day on Thursday.
I'll be coming home late and I've been told to expect a fully decorated
Christmas Tree!

How are you preparing for the winter months?

Are you taking a slower pace?

Will you spend time to nourish and look within?

You may want to be with a group of likeminded women.

I run workshops called the Skin Nourishing Cafe.

In January I'll be focusing on Winter Wellbeing

In February I'll be focusing on Natural Menopause Solutions.

Joining these groups is a way of gathering together, feeling supported,
if you are experiencing any vulnerabilities, they can be absorbed into the group.

Here is the link if you'd like to join.

See you there.
